Fridge Seal Repair - How To Fix A Leaking Fridge
If you notice any leaks when you open the door, check the water supply first. This will help you determine whether there’s an issue with the water line or the valve itself. You’ll also need to make sure the water isn’t running too hot or cold.
Next, turn off the power to the refrigerator and remove the plug from the wall. Then, carefully lift up the bottom panel of the refrigerator. Look for a small hole near the back of the unit. If you see one, use a screwdriver to poke through the hole and pull out the rubber seal.
If you find no holes, then there must be something wrong with the wiring inside the refrigerator. You should call an electrician immediately.
Check the fuses first. They are located near the back of the electrical panel. Look for any blown fuses. If you see one, replace it immediately.
You will need to replace the water valve assembly. This is a small plastic part with two screws.
