If the drain pump isn’t running properly, water will accumulate inside the machine. This can cause the dishwasher to fill with water and shut off automatically. To fix this problem, turn the power switch back on and then open the door. Make sure the drain hose is clear of debris before turning the power switch back on again.
Check the water supply line first because it’s easy to overlook. It runs along the bottom of the cabinet and connects to the drain pump. If there is any blockage in the line, the water won’t flow through the pump and the dishwasher will not work.
Next, check the drain hose. This should run into the sink drain pipe. If it does not, then the drain hose needs to be replaced.
