When your refrigerator isn’t cooling, it could be due to several different factors such as condenser coils that need cleaning, blocked vents, door seals that aren’t sealing properly, or a temperature setting in the control panel that is either too high or low. To start troubleshooting, check for dirty condenser coils and clean them if necessary. Inspect the door seals for wear and tear and if they are cracked or damaged replace them.

If your refrigerator is too cold, then the first thing you should check is if the fan motor is correctly running and blowing cold air. If it isn’t, then you can try replacing the fan motor with a new one. If the fan motor looks normal but isn’t cooling, then reduce the temperature setting on your fridge control panel to make sure it isn’t set too high. Otherwise, you may need to replace the thermostat in order to fix this issue.

In some cases, your fridge may be making odd noises due to parts within the unit that need maintenance or replacement. One of these parts could be the fan blade, which can generate a rattling sound if it’s dirty. Cleaning and/or replacing the blade should help to resolve this issue. Alternatively, you should check that both the evaporator and condenser fans are running correctly as any problems with them can cause some odd noises from your appliance.

Frost buildup in your freezer is often caused by a faulty defrost timer or thermostat. If you notice large chunks of frost or ice, there may be a problem with either the timer or the thermostat. Faulty components can prevent your unit from transitioning into the defrost cycle which will result in inefficient cooling and energy use. To diagnose this issue properly, try cycling through the different settings and check to see if they’re functioning correctly.
